To stop the spread of domestic violence or domestic abuse the necessary steps to spread awareness about domestic violence should be taken as domestic violence is alarmingly increasing in recent times due to covid -19(recently spread viral disease) has led to increase in domestic violence because people have no choice but to spend more and more time in lockdown at home which contributes to increase in stress levels. There is a need aware people about domestic violence such as how to control anger, how to react to domestic violence and every victims should report to the concerning authorities and should not stay silent. Spreading awareness alone can reduce domestic abuse or violence cases by a large number so it is the responsibility of every victim to speak up about it and should be reported to the police.  We can use different platforms to spread social awareness about domestic abuse one of which is Print Media but we can use other platforms as well.

We should also spread awareness about the rehabilitation process for the victims such as how to deal with stress, the proper diagnosis of PTSD, one of better ways to relief stress is exercise and sports activities which molds the society towards peace and reduces the stress levels of society, mostly anything works for them which keeps them busy and productive.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month:

Every October, educational activities, neighborhood forums, and outreach groups commemorate National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The Domestic Violence Awareness Project came up with a single theme in 2018: #1Thing. This campaign's goal is to remind people that ending domestic abuse begins with only one simple gesture, such as finding support or exchanging resources. Domestics abuse is a pattern of conduct that involves threats of violence and coercion in order to exert authority and influence over someone else. Domestic abuse cases have increased nationally as a result of the COVID-19, with families having no alternative but to spend more time at home.More funds should be dedicated to the country's advancement of women. Domestic abuse, its causes, potential treatments, and prevention interventions should all be made known to all health providers. Both women and men should participate in awareness programmes. Reforms in police forces and legal systems are often required to remove barriers to women's access to justice.

Conclusion:

The government should take serious steps to spread awareness and practical approach to should be taken to overcome the factors causing the Domestic violence such as drug addiction , depression , aggressive behavior and other mental health issues .Proper Rehabilitation centers should be constructed to provide the victims a way to start a new life.
